Balls Without Borders

BWB is Record-Breaking

On May 22, 2010, Balls Without Borders, Inc. (BWB) has been kicking off the World Cup festivities by teaming up with the United Soccer Leagues' (USL) back-to-back Championship team The Pali Blues. Together we attempted to break a World Record for our World Cup event. Donated balls will benefit the MaAfrika Tikkun Orphanages. Nelson Mandela is their Chief Patron. Up to 2,000 balls will be sent by Balls Without Borders to help improve the lives of 18,000 kids suffering the effects of HIV/AIDS in 6 townships in South Africa. These children have never owned a soccer ball!

The audience brought new and used balls and at half time they were invited onto the field to break the World Record for the most amount of people juggling a soccer ball in a stadium at once. More on the event can be found on the web here: www.beat627.com

On behalf of the children in Africa as well as all participating organizations we would like to thank the donors. Together we made a difference and had fun at the same time. What an amzing way to help!
